Hertfordshire will host its inaugural Film & TV Festival from 2-4 July 2027, celebrating the county's significant role in film, television, and digital content production.
The festival aims to bring audiences closer to the stories, talent, and industry behind the screen, showcasing the creativity and innovation that has made the area synonymous with world-class production. It will feature screenings, special events, industry conversations, and immersive experiences, with a focus on inspiring the next generation of talent from all backgrounds.
Based in south-west Hertfordshire, a heartland of the UK's successful screen cluster, the event has garnered support from a wide range of partners. These include major industry players like Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, educational institutions such as West Herts College and the University of Hertfordshire, and local authorities including Watford Borough Council and Three Rivers District Council. Media partner Heart FM and charity partner Watford FC’s Community Sports & Education Trust are also on board.

"Whether you've always dreamed of working in film and television or simply love great stories, this festival is for you. We want to throw open the doors to an industry that many people know exists here, but few get the chance to experience up close. I'm delighted that Watford is helping to bring this exciting new event to life and look forward to welcoming audiences from across Hertfordshire and beyond."
