Following complaints about cars parked obstructively along Percival Street, PCSOs issued tickets to numerous vehicles. They work with the council to combat parking issues, issuing tickets for vehicles parked on zig-zag lines, dangerously, or in a manner that would prevent emergency vehicle access. Further information on parking issues and reporting is available on the council's website.
In response to numerous concerns raised about anti-social behaviour in Eye, including the use of e-scooters, criminal damage, and youth-related ASB, patrols have been conducted to provide a visible presence. The PCSOs have been speaking with residents and collecting CCTV footage, working with partner agencies to resolve these problems. Concerns about ASB can be reported online or by calling 101, with 999 reserved for emergencies.
Regular patrols have also taken place around Moor Farm in Newborough following concerns about ASB and criminality. PCSOs have engaged with staff and customers about their issues. Similar reporting channels for ASB apply. The team has also patrolled other areas, including Thorpe Meadows, Longthorpe, and Westwood.
More information about the local neighbourhood team, their priorities, and upcoming meetings can be found on the Cambridgeshire Constabulary website.
