Brentwood, Shenfield, and Ingatestone High Streets will be brought to life with three free festive events this November and December, organised by Brentwood Connected and supported by Brentwood Borough Council.
Lighting Up Brentwood will take place on Saturday 21 November from 12-6pm on Brentwood High Street. This Christmas lights switch-on event will feature live performances, market stalls, food, drinks, gifts, funfair rides, walkabout acts, and a Santa Parade. The Coptfold Road multistorey car park will be free of charge all day on 21 November.
A giant walk-through Christmas tree, funded by businesses, will be located at the Chapel Ruins. A Santa’s Grotto, organised by the Rotary Club of Brentwood, will be at Schmidt Kitchens & Interior Solutions, and Mrs Claus will visit the Chicken and Frog Bookshop. Free face painting will be available at two locations, sponsored by Pinney Talfourd. The Santa Parade starts at 11.45am from St. Thomas’ Road, and the Christmas lights switch-on is at 5pm on the Main Stage by Mayor of Brentwood, Cllr Nicky Cuthbert.
The Ingatestone Festive Fair is scheduled for Sunday 29 November (12-5pm). The event will include entertainment, live music, 30 market stalls selling food and gifts at The Bell pub, and activities along the High Street. Businesses like The Star Inn will offer food and drink, and a Christmas Toy Trail will launch in business windows.
Festive Shenfield will return on Sunday 6 December (12-5pm) along Hutton Road, Shenfield. It will feature entertainment, market stalls, a Santa’s Grotto, free face painting, and food and drink from local businesses. A Christmas Toy Trail with Jellycat toys will also take place.

"We’re delighted to be hosting three Christmas events for families to attend across Brentwood, Shenfield and Ingatestone this festive season, encouraging people to support local and celebrate what our town centre businesses have to offer. Our events are funded by businesses, making them free to attend. They are the perfect opportunity to showcase our High Streets and bring the community together."

"Christmas is a time for coming together, celebrating and reflecting. Each year, the borough's festive events bring a real sense of excitement and joy to our town centres, creating opportunities for families, friends and neighbours to share in the magic of the season."
