“"We know there are organisations across the Maldon District with great ideas for helping people live healthier, happier and more connected lives. These small grants can help turn those ideas into action, whether that means encouraging people to be more active, helping people make new connections or supporting better mental health and wellbeing. I’d encourage local organisations with an idea that could make a difference to take a look at the guidance and see what support may be available."

Local organisations in the Maldon District are encouraged to apply for new Livewell Grants to fund projects aimed at improving community health and wellbeing.
The Maldon District Livewell Partnership has launched a small grants programme, combining Public Health grants and Active Maldon grants, to support initiatives that make a positive difference to residents' health and wellbeing.
Public Health funding is available for innovative projects addressing at least two of three key local priorities: physical activity and obesity, social isolation, and mental health. While new projects are preferred, successful past activities may be considered if their impact can be demonstrated.
Eligible UK-registered organisations, including voluntary groups, charities, not-for-profit companies, CICs, educational settings, and statutory bodies, can apply for up to £2,000 per project. Applications are open until 14 December 2026, or while funding lasts.
The grants are part of the Maldon Livewell Partnership Board's work to address resident health and wellbeing priorities. Applicants must read the specific guidance for either the Public Health or Active Maldon funding streams before applying.
