“"I urge eligible organisations and businesses to apply for these fantastic grants today. We really do hope that by increasing the grants available we will see community buildings and more businesses benefit from this great scheme. We want to give organisations in Three Rivers practical support to invest in long-term sustainable solutions to reduce their energy costs, improve their financial resilience against energy price shocks and cut carbon emissions."

Community buildings and local businesses in Three Rivers can now benefit from increased grants of up to £6,500 to help reduce energy bills and carbon emissions through the installation of solar panels and battery systems.
The Solar PV and Battery Grants scheme, run by Three Rivers District Council, has seen its maximum grant size doubled from £3,000 to £6,500. This initiative supports the cost of installing solar panels and/or a battery system on commercial premises and community buildings.
Initially launched earlier this year to assist businesses, the scheme has now expanded its eligibility to include non-residential buildings that provide activities, services, or space for the benefit of the local community. Applications are open online until April 2028, or until all available grants are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
This scheme follows the success of last year’s Business Energy Efficiency Grant, which was supported by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. A previous recipient shared that the grant enabled them to implement workspace changes, provide a healthier environment for staff, save on bills, and contribute to reducing emissions and waste.
