Three Rivers District Council has launched the inaugural Pride of Three Rivers Awards to celebrate exceptional contributions to the local community across the district.

The new awards scheme aims to honour and recognise individuals, organisations, groups, and businesses that have made a significant positive impact. Nominations are now open across the district, with finalists invited to an awards ceremony scheduled for 23 March.
Cllr Keith Martin, Chair of Three Rivers District Council, expressed his excitement for the initiative. "These awards are all about celebrating the very best of our wonderful district," he stated. "I am excited to see who will be nominated, and to hear more stories of incredible community spirit."
Cllr Martin encouraged nominations for anyone who contributes positively to their local community, stating: “It could be a friend, a neighbour, a colleague, or an organisation you know – if you know anyone who contributes and has contributed to their local community and made a big and positive difference, then please nominate them today.”
The awards will feature six categories: Outstanding Individual, Outstanding Environmental Contribution, Outstanding Group, Outstanding Business, Outstanding Young Person(s), and Lifetime Achievement. An independent panel of judges will select the finalists and winners.
Nominations close on 30 November. Further information can be found at www.threerivers.gov.uk/pride-awards.
