Watford Borough Council is hosting Hertfordshire's largest free fireworks display at Cassiobury Park on Saturday 7 November 2026, promising an evening of entertainment and community fundraising.

Watford Borough Council has announced the return of Hertfordshire's largest free fireworks display, set to take place at Cassiobury Park on Saturday 7 November 2026. This popular annual event is expected to draw thousands of residents and visitors for an evening of live entertainment, family activities, and a spectacular fireworks show.
The event, funded by Watford Borough Council and offered free of charge, aims to provide a memorable night out for families and friends. Festivities commence at 6pm with live entertainment from Vibe 107.6FM and local band The Nevers. The main fireworks display is scheduled to begin at 7:30pm.
Attendees can enjoy a variety of food and drink stalls, children's funfair rides, bungee trampolines, and a bouncy slide. Visitors are advised to bring cash for purchases on the night.
The event will also support local charities, with volunteers from the Watford Lions Club and other organisations collecting donations throughout the evening. Funds raised will benefit local causes, including Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care, Hayaat Welfare Trust, and the Watford Community Fund. Donations can be made via cash, contactless payment, or QR codes displayed at the event site.
Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, commented on the event: “The Cassiobury Park Fireworks are one of the highlights of our community calendar and a fantastic opportunity for residents and visitors to come together and enjoy a free evening of entertainment. We're proud that Watford Borough Council funds this event for the community, making it accessible to everyone. We're also grateful to the Watford Lions Club and all the volunteers who help raise vital funds for local charities. Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps make a real difference to people in Watford.”
Attendees are advised that the Gade Avenue car park will be closed for general parking from 3pm on the event day, with a limited number of Blue Badge spaces available. Parking restrictions will also be in effect on surrounding roads between 7am and 11pm. Public transport or town centre car parks are recommended.
